Remember when we used to always share the most ran

Remember when we used to always share the most random boring awful photos of what we were doing (was it "WYD"? I don't even remember.😂)

Well, here's one of those for old times sake. 🤣

Now that my fabric and my machine are in my room, I look at them all the time. 👀 Tonight I decided to pull out this pattern I almost finished earlier this year.

I'll be making it for my daughter's bed quilt, so I'm aptly naming it "Mabel". 🥰

I collected all the #ErinMcmorris fabrics I could find years ago and have been saving them for this. I'm excited to start cutting into them! 😍

Ok, it's actually been sitting on the shelf/desk in my closet for at least 7+ months, but I had to move the shelf, so it ended up on my bed! And I added 5 more stitches to it. 😬🤣🤣 🤦‍♀️

I have big plans to add a lot of great hand quilting in the center, but I'm losing hope that that will happen. 😂 (I already machine quilted background, so it's all pretty stable and in place, thank goodness. 😉)

What do you do with projects that you were over ambitious about??

Do you eventually change plans and take the easy way out and just finish it? Or do you let it sit on the eternal WIP pile pretending that you'll really do it. one day. 😬👀😂

I think this quilt will be the latter. 😆

I'm officially handing my sewing room over to my son. So all this fabric and my machine are coming up to my bedroom. 😬 I'm secretly hoping this leads to me do a lot more sewing and quilting. 🤞🤞🤞

But man I forgot how heavy fabric is!! We are both dying. 😰😵 Lol. It'll be pretty once I get it all back in place though!

My son also mentioned that, "I don't think you'll be able to use all of this... Maybe if there were ten of you." 😂😂

What do you think? How many of you would you need to use up all the fabric you have?? 🤣

I started this a number of years ago and pulled it back out the other day and finished it up just now. 😊

The pattern is 70's Geese, using the 6 inch block, and it finishes at 18 inches.

This would be fun to do in a bigger size for the center of a medallion quilt. 😍

I remember being so excited for the design, and when I looked at it the other day I was like, "uh ok." Lol. But I do like it now that it's finished! 😂

Hooray for another "finish". Not finished, but finished top. (It never ends! 🥴 Lol)

Today's adventure... Seeing if I can remember how to do a binding. 😳😂😬

Finally putting on the binding for the Poinsettia charity quilt we made last year. @jankaye is so awesome and did such a beautiful job quilting it for us. ❤️

When it's finished I'll send to the @nsquiltersguild to donate to kids in foster care. They always donate so many quilts every year! It's awesome!

(Glad to say that I did remember how to do the binding. 🙌😜 Are there things that sometimes you feel like you forget?! Lol)

Burning the midnight oil trying to knock out this little project that's been mostly finished for a few years...

I'm so close!! 😬 I just need to cut out some white fabric for the rest of the outside sections and then it's done!

I'm using my 70's Geese pattern and the 6 inch block.

Fabric are @alisonglass and @giucy_giuce and @konacotton white.

I remember when I first starting making this in Mississippi I was SOOO excited for it. As I was finshing piecing the sections today I couldn't remember what the layout was supposed to be, so I pulled up the image on my computer. 😳😳🤢 Lol I was honestly like, "um. Ok. I guess I don't have the same taste as I used to." 🤣

But actually it's turning out better than I thought it would from the mockup. 😂😂 Phew. 😬😅 I guess I don't have as good of vision as I used to. 😜

This is my daughter's twin sized quilt that I started years ago. After years of hardly quilting at all, I've been whipping out projects like it's nobody's business 💪... (You know, except that numbers pattern that's basically ready but I'm avoiding. 🙄🤦‍♀️ Don't worry. It's next!! 😉)

I always get so nervous about my fabric placement, but I don't think you can go wrong with these prints by @mobedell! 😍😍 I'll show close ups when it's all pieced, but I definitely fell in love with these prints all over again!!

When I first started paper piecing I swore I would NEVER EVER foundation paper piece an entire quilt... Years later and 12 fully fpp quilts later, that I can think of off the top of my head - I'm sure there are more, I have to be as efficient as possible to save my sanity... 😵‍💫🥴🤯 Lol

I remember seeing chain piecing one time and realized that with the glue being technique I learned from @cristycreates, I can also chain foundation piece. And if I can do that, then why not chain trim my blocks?!

This has saved me!!

This current quilt has 152 templates. 😳 There's no way I could complete this and not completely die of repetition boredom without little techniques like this. 😉😘🙌
