Meet Starry Skyline:
Starry Skyline is a pattern that I created years ago for a Quilting Bee I was in on Flickr. Were you around for those days?? They were the best!
I wrote a tutorial on how to traditionally piece the blog, which you can find HERE. But eventually I decided that I liked foundation paper piecing better and I made it into a foundation paper pieced block.
If you make the outer triangle a different color, it creates a secondary design element as you add more blocks together. (This is easier to do in the paper piecing pattern than the traditionally pieced block.)
For my quilt in the first photo, I used “Halloween colors” to make Halloween quilt. I think I let my ex-husband keep that quilt, so I need to make another one.
Your Starry Skyline projects
Some of the photos I found are from the FPP (foundation paper pieced pattern) and then I also have some that are made using the tutorial. I think they all look great so I’m sharing them all! 🙂
So Gorgeous!!
What do you think??
I’d love to hear what you think!
Do you like it?!
