Meet Simple Celestial:
This is a block I made when I did a paper piecing demo for my quilt guild in North Dakota. I love the fun fussy cutting elements. The states are places we’ve lived, and I need to add Iowa, Mississippi, Texas, Germany, England, and Vienna. I think that’s all the places I’ve lived throughout my life! π
I always love playing around with different design options when I create a new pattern – that’s partially how I know I’m done tweaking, is when there are a lot of options.
This is a progression design I came up with for the block just above it! The block is the second row from the top. I think this would be fun to see as a real quilt!
Here are some other design options that you could make with Simple Celestial:
These are all based off that same first layout idea, I just colored them a little different. I think this looks so fun!!
I am in the process of making my kiddos their own twin size bed quilts, and my oldest daughter just decided that she wants that last layout for her quilt! I’m so excited, I think it’s perfect for her personality! π Watch for updates… π
