Simple block designs use 4 blocks, while more complex – yet still simple to create – designs use 16 blocks to create. Keep this in mind when choosing your pattern size.(ie. purchasing the 9 inch size will create 9 inch simple designs and 18 inch complex designs, purchasing the 18 inch size will create 18  inch and 36 inch blocks.)
