Locked in Spots was originally created for Make Modern Magazine and was featured in Issue 9! But now you can purchase this quilt pattern directly from me for yourself!!

I’ve packed this pattern with sooo many extra goodies including additional coloring pages and pattern template sizes – so you can use this pattern to make more than just this quilt! Use the coloring pages to help you plan, and the additional template sizes for a wide variety of projects including, pillows, notebook covers, bags, pouches, pincushions, mug rugs, mini quilts, baby quilts, etc! The possibilities are endless!

The pattern also includes incredibly detailed instructions and diagrams that walk you step-by-step through the paper piecing process and quilt assembly (if you are making the quilt). Great for beginner paper pieces, or for anyone who wants to see how I use the cutting templates and speed up the piecing process!

Detailed step-by-step instructions for piecing each block and assembling the quilt. If you've never paper pieced before, this pattern walks you through the process! I take your hand and walk you through my techniques of glue basting and speed piecing – you'll be piecing like a pro in no time!

Fabric Requirements:

For the lap quilt shown: (finishes at 56 in x 70 in)
Fabric A (background fabric) 3 1/4 yards
Fabric B (small diamonds) 3/4 yard
Fabric C (borders around diamonds) 1 1/8 yards, or 120 – 7 in x 2 in strips
Fabric D (circles) 1 yard, or 30 – 6 in x 6 in squares
Binding: 1/2 yard (using 2 1/2 inch strips)
Backing: 3 1/2 yards (assuming WOF is 42in) Piece to minimum 60 in x 74 in
Batting: 68 in x 78 in (includes 6 in extra on each side)
