Happy Easter!!

I hope you’ve had a wonderful day!

I wanted to share something I read the other day that help lift me out of a deep depression this week.

If you follow me on Facebook, you might be aware that I am very open with my mental health journey, and especially during this time, I know so many of us are really struggling. I wanted to share this in hopes that it might help lift some of you as well.

In reference to the Friday of Christ’s crucifixion and all the darkness and despair of that day, Joseph B Wirthlin said the following,

“Each of us will have our own Fridaysβ€”those days when the universe itself seems shattered and the shards of our world lie littered about us in pieces. We all will experience those broken times when it seems we can never be put together again. We will all have our Fridays.

“But I testify to you in the name of the One who conquered deathβ€”Sunday will come. In the darkness of our sorrow, Sunday will come.

“No matter our desperation, no matter our grief, Sunday will come. In this life or the next, Sunday will come.”

Above all I honor and respect that we all have different beliefs and are free to worship as we choose.

I do believe in Christ as our Lord and Savior, and especially in a time such as we are in right now, I hold on tightly to the hope and light that He brought to the world that Easter morning so many years ago.

No matter your beliefs, no matter your situation right now, I hope that you can believe in one thing – that darkness does fade and that there is always something to hope for. The good will come.

This week was really difficult for me, struggling with depression, and there were days where I really could not find any hope. But it passed and looking back I feel like I had my own Friday experience and am grateful to feel that blessing of a Sunday in my life.

So in your Friday’s, please hold on! Sunday will come! Sending all of my love!

love Diane
